Awsm in 2025: A Year of Milestones, Wins, and Togetherness

2025 was all about milestones, meaningful wins, and growing stronger together. From celebrating 15 years of Awsm to shipping products, contributing to WordPress, and making time to meet in person, it’s been a year we’ll always look back on with pride.

15 Years of Being Awsm 💙

We hit a huge milestone this year as Awsm completed 15 years. Making it even more special, Aravind, Sarath, and Vidya also celebrated 15 years with the company. That’s years of trust, teamwork, and shared growth — and a journey worth celebrating.

Winning Google Award 🏆

One of our proudest moments this year was winning our first-ever Google Maps Platform Award for our project, ‘Mapping 19th Century Jewish Charity in New York’ This recognition marked an important chapter for us and reaffirmed the impact of the work we do.

Released a New Plugin 🚀

We continued building products with purpose. This year saw the release of WazChat, our chat button widget, and the steady growth of our open-source presence with 6 plugins and 2 themes now available in the WordPress Repository.

Expanding Beyond WordPress 🛠️

The year also saw us add more skills to our repertoire. We released our first project Nimida in Webflow. It is amazing to see our developers embracing new platforms and CMSs.

Challenging Projects 💪

Our clients trusted us with their visions and we turned them into realities. In 2025 we turned several bold ideas into real-world experiences. Some projects we released include Sahamati, Maison Le Ciel, Nimida Capital, The Rushcutters, Casa, Thatcham MOT & Service Centre, Hopfields and M&M Auto Repairs. 

Giving Back to WordPress 🌍

Our commitment to WordPress stayed strong. Six of our team members contributed to WordPress 6.8, and one contributor made it to WordPress 6.9 — a proud reflection of our involvement in the ecosystem we care deeply about.

WordCamp Asia Official Media Partner 📢✈️

We stepped onto the global stage by attending WordCamp Asia as an official Media Partner. It was an energizing experience filled with learning, connections, and conversations that continue to inspire us.

WP Week on the Rise📬

Through our newsletter, we had a big year. We published 150+ editions and grew to 1,000+ subscribers, thanks to an amazing community that continues to read, share, and support what we do.

Giving Back Beyond Work 🤝

This year, we proudly took part in #WPGivesAHand, joining the WordPress community to support a meaningful cause. As part of this initiative, we’ll be donating a portion of our WP Job Openings plugin sales to Hope Community because making a positive impact goes beyond code and products.

Four Memorable Meetups🤗

Though we continue to work remotely, distance hasn’t slowed us down — it’s helped us build trust, flexibility, and a strong sense of ownership across the team.

While remote-first, we made time to meet and celebrate in person. This year included four memorable meetups — exploring Munroe Island, soaking in the culture of Fort Kochi, coming together for our grand meetup at Vattavada, and celebrating Onam at Hotel Vakkom Palazzo. These moments reminded us that connection is at the heart of everything we do.

Employee-centric Policies 🫶

In 2025, we introduced several benefits like Internet Allowance which were well received by the team. Several team members also utilized our Annual Vacation Bonus and visited places inside and outside our country. This year they visited Singapore, Egypt, Lakshadweep, Gokarna, Vattavada and Varkala.
