Awsm’s Year in Review – 2021
It’s that time of year when we look back and count our blessings and make plans for the coming year. Just like 2020, 2021 too restricted us to our homes and made us continue our Work From Home system. But 2021 was another wonderful year for us. We dug into the reserves we never thought we had and conquered more heights.
🥳 5 years of Awsmness
We started our WordPress journey as Fidiz Solutions in 2010. We had a brief stint with CGWerks Digital Singapore which gave us more exposure to bigger projects. Finally, in 2016, we separated from CGWerks and got rebranded as Awsm Digital Innovations after a few trial and error processes.
2021 marked our 5 years of existence as Awsm Digital Innovations and as usual, we celebrated it in style, though online.
💼 New Projects & Milestones
We are happy to say that we helped out several customers with their development requirements and completed the tasks to perfection. Working from home had no impact on our work quality and it was business as usual for us with the various client calls and project releases.
The most notable project we delivered in 2021 was Forbes Africa. We redesigned and developed the website using Frontity.
Some other projects we delivered last year include Third Age Villages, iNSiTU Housing, Barakat, Crestech, Spin Bowling Clinic, Castle Island and Third.i. We are thankful to our clients for trusting us with their dreams and we are sure we delivered our best.
Another of our long-term projects Yamamah App for endurance racing has become one of the top 3 apps in UAE sports category and we couldn’t be happier.

Our WordPress resources blog, WP-Content.Co turned one in 2021 and we couldn’t be happier. Dedicated to WordPress, this blog today has 167 articles, 1970 FB followers and 2680 Twitter followers. Within a short span of time, we have managed to gain a place in the WordPress community as a reliable source of information.
We introduced several useful plugins to our readers and also interviewed some WordPress celebrities including Davinder Singh, Justin Tadlock and Miriam Schwab. Our Newsletter has its own dedicated followers. We will start the new year with Newsletter #50!
🎯 Our Products
Our best-loved job listing plugin WP Job Openings has been on a roll. We recently released Version 3.0 with more features including multi-form support, pagination and UI improvements. We also got a new home for this plugin in 2021. Our success story got featured in Freemius too. You can definitely expect more features and updates from this plugin in the coming year.
Our product team has been busy with our other plugins too. We have added a new design for the document block and added OneDrive Personal Viewer to Embed Any Document Plus.
For the Team Pro plugin, we have added the most requested feature, search members for the team. They are hard at work to release some addons for EAD and for the WP Job Openings plugin in the coming months.
2021 also saw us receiving raving reviews for our plugins. Our users were happy with our products and they shared it with us. We promise that in 2022 we will be serving you with more delightful features.
🤹 New Traditions
Just like in 2020, 2021 too took a toll on our traditions. But not to be outdone by a Virus, we made use of what we had and made new traditions. We couldn’t continue with our birthday parties and other celebrations. However, we made use of technology for bonding time and observing important days.
We had a great time exchanging gifts on birthdays, Awsm Day, Onam and Christmas. And 19 of us were scattered across 2 countries – India & UAE, making the process more challenging. Drawing the names of Christmas friends online was definitely an experience worth mentioning.
🎗️ Giving Back
Nothing is complete without sharing your happiness with others. This year too we have taken steps to bring cheer to the less fortunate.
We participated in do_action Karnataka 2021 Online Charity Hackathon, pledged our resources for the Five for the Future initiative, and financially supported WordPress Foundation, Big Orange Heart, PHP Foundation and the WPGivesAHand Movement.
😇 2022 Plans
We have some amazing plans for the coming year, especially for our products. We are ready to face whatever challenges may be thrown at us. But one thing is for sure – we are going to enjoy it. We will try our best to spread happiness and live life to the fullest. We are after all AWSM!
