Year in Review 2024
As we bid farewell to 2024, we take immense pride in reflecting on a year filled with growth, achievements, and unforgettable moments.
This year marked the 8th anniversary of Awsm Digital Innovations, a significant milestone that reinforces our commitment to excellence. While we continued working remotely, we made it a priority to come together as a team at regular intervals, celebrating our journey and strengthening the bonds that unite us.
WordPress Contributions
Our contributions to the WordPress community were as vibrant as ever. We organized and sponsored WordCamp Kerala 2024, a premier event that brought together enthusiasts from across the region. Aravind Ajith, our CEO, mentored the second cohort of the WordPress Contributor Mentorship program in the first quarter of the year. Meanwhile, Sarath A R added to our accolades by winning two prizes at the WordPress Photo Festival 2024, highlighting the creativity within our team.
Development Team Milestones
The development team excelled this year, completing and releasing around 30 projects that showcased their technical prowess and dedication. Their hard work and innovative solutions continue to drive the success of our clients and partners.
Product Team’s Success Stories
It was an exciting year for our product team as well. WP Job Openings, one of our flagship products, celebrated its sixth anniversary with over 30,000 active installations, a testament to its popularity and effectiveness. We also expanded our product lineup with the release of the Jaicob.ai addon and two new WordPress themes, Nexara and Avista, further cementing our reputation as a leader in the WordPress ecosystem.
In 2024, our Product Team closed 1878 support tickets from 1222 customers. They also released five updates to WP Job Openings and got 24 five-star reviews in the Repository this year.
Content Team’s Outstanding Achievements
Our content team had a remarkable year, contributing significantly to the global WordPress community. We got selected as the official media partner of WordCamp Asia 2025. The team published 200 newsletters and over 320 blog posts, reaching an audience of over 1,000 newsletter subscribers and reinforcing our position as a trusted source of information.
Spreading Happiness
Spreading happiness was a central theme of our year. We participated in the WP Gives A Hand movement, donating 10% of our revenue to Hope Community Village. This initiative underscores our commitment to giving back to the community and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
Cherished Team Meetups
Finally, 2024 was marked by several memorable team meetups that reminded us of the importance of connection and camaraderie. We gathered at stunning locations, including Greenwoods Resort in Thekkady, Lake Canopy in Alappey, and Abad Brookside Lakkidi Hotel in Wayanad. These gatherings were filled with joy, laughter, and collaboration, strengthening the spirit of togetherness that defines our team.
